Consignment FAQ

"What days and times will you take my consignment?"
We take clothing in all 7 days of the week. Check our home page for store hours. Please be sure all items are hanging on hangers you do not want returned. If you do not have extra hangers on hand, feel free to hang up your items in-store using the hangers we have available for consigners at our check-in station.

"When should I bring in what I have? I know it's summer but I have a great winter jacket!"
Sadly, we do not have any extra space to be able to store clothes that are not in season. We only take your clothing items for consignment on a seasonal basis.

Spring ... Mid February-April (Think layers and bright colors!)
Summer ... April-July ( (Shorts, tanks, swimwear and sandals. Don't forget the beach bags and sunglasses!)
Fall ... August-October (Jeans, light jackets, layering pieces and darker colors)
Winter ... October-January (Sweaters, warm coats, scarves, hats and gloves, winter boots)

"How do you know my item is something you can sell?"
We have experienced and knowledgeable staff that know what may and may not sell taking into account current trending styles and quality brands. We ask that you respect our decision on whether we feel something will sell for you in the store or not. Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis for special and/or vintage pieces, upon our discretion.

Clothing must look new/very gently used, without wear, holes, stains, or odor.
Handbags & Accessories must have minimal wear, no missing hardware, or staining.
Shoes must have minimal wear without toe marks or damaged heels.

Keep in mind, we do not keep any boxes of any kind (including shoe boxes), garment covers, receipts, and hangers that are brought in with your consignment items.

"How many items can I bring in? Will you be able to go through my items quickly?"
You may present up to 25 hanging items only (clothing) each time you consign. This does not include handbags, shoes, accessories, or jewelry. If you have a large quantity to consign, please call the store to set up a time & day that we can accommodate a large intake. Depending on how neatly presented your items are, this will determine how quickly we will be able to review your things.

Dry cleaning/pressing is not necessary, however, stains, wrinkles and creases will not be accepted.
Please make sure all pockets of items are empty!

"Do you only take women's clothing?"
Yes, we do not consign children's, men's, or wedding gowns.

"OK. I'm here. Now what?"
Please allow 15 minutes each time you consign.
Drop your items off in our consignment area located in the back of the shop. We will review the consignment contract with you when you arrive!
Shop while we look through your items.
Stop back and pick up any "no-thank you's" if you want your items returned back to you or we can easily donate your "no thank you's" for you, just let us know!
Easy as that!

"How do you determine pricing?"
We use the industry standard for pricing (approximately 1/3 of the retail price for clothing) and our years of market experience. Our goals are the same: to get the most the market will bear for your piece(s), yet still sell your items within the 60 day consignment period. If there is a specific amount that you would like out of a higher-end item, please tell us at time of check-in.

"Will the items I consign be subject to price reduction?"
Yes, we do 2 price reductions during your 60 day consignment period -- in every effort to sell your items. And, from time to time, we use sales and coupons to drive traffic in for your items.

"How do I know that items have sold and what my earnings are?"
Our on-line look up allows you to see if you have cash in your account. The online account will not show you if you have a check available. Best way to review your account in it's entirety is by phone. You can also call us in store during business hours to review. All earnings are available for pick up or you can use your earnings towards merchandise. Let us know if you need a check mailed.

"What happens if one of my items does not sell?"
After your consignment period is over (60 days after we process your items), all items are subject to be donated. If you would like your items back at the end of your 60 days, you must call us a week prior to your expiration date and let us know that you would like to pick up any unsold items. We will try to the best of our abilities to find your unsold items and will call you when we are able to find what we can. When we call you, you have 2 weeks from that date to retrieve your items or they will be donated to a worthy cause, this allows us to make room for new merchandise.
